Ice Storm

I have blogged a whole lot about the weather - I know....I hope it doesn't bore you..

So you know how annoyed and frustrated I was with this last storm, my pilates class was cancelled and I couldn't make it to my doctor appointment, I was stuck in the house, there are about 8 huge limbs on the ground from my maple tree.. So - yes, it was cold and destructive.
But then this morning came...I slept long and well last night.. So I was up this morning, psyching myself to hit the mall for some shopping - and I went outside to get the paper. The destruction and mayhem took on a wondrous display. The sun was shining bright, exposing a sky that was as blue as nice blue eyes..The air smelled of pine, from the limbs that had fallen next door. And the only sound was the light tinkling of the ice crystals falling gently from their perch upon the branches. It was truly awe inspiring. The sun shone thru the ice, causing an ethereal glow...I was alone for an instant with nature and I, just for that brief second, stopped hating the storm, the ice and the cold.
Mother nature is quite a talented artist. I took some photos right after the storm ended (Friday early afternoon) when the sun came out for about 10 minutes..I hope you like them. :)
This is of the trees across the street
