BFP Part Two..

As she drove into work on that cold windy January morning, she was still second guessing herself. “Okay” she thought “Ill decide by the end of the day what to do.” When 5:00 came, she knew what she needed to do. For nothing else, but her own peace of mind, she was convinced the test would read negative.

Pulling into the strip mall parking lot, her pulse quickened. She prayed not to run into anyone she knew. It was dark and cold. Getting out of her car, she was hit with a gust of wind that took away her already short breath. Walking toward the drugstore she took deep breaths, trying desperately to remain calm.

The blinding lights of the drug store hurt her eyes as they scanned for the pregnancy tests. She found them in the back, by the pharmacy. “Which one?” She silently wondered. Finally deciding on the one that claimed to be 90-something percent accurate, she took her purchase to the cash register. When she put the box on the counter, the nice young man asked “All set?” her response was “I don’t know” because she didn’t know what would happen next.

Stay tuned for part three.
